May we live in a way that shows ‘welcome’

I wonder how we would really feel and act if we spent time contemplating this notion that we are God’s building, God’s field, God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in us. I could spend hours pondering this, and I wish I would. If someone visits my house, I hope to have it tidy, welcoming, comfortable and a place someone would want to revisit. We are God’s real estate on earth. We are all God chooses to use to help others to feel that God welcomes them and that His place is just what they need and would enjoy. Not only that, how much time do we focus on being that temple and allowing ourselves time to discover what this really means for the way we choose to use this space for God and the way we choose to live. Heavenly Father, thank you for your humility in choosing us to be your little homes in the world. May we live in a way that shows the ‘welcome’ sign is always out.
